Marta DeSpirito, IM=X® Pilates Certified Advanced Trainer



Marta DeSpirito is the owner of the IM=X® Pilates Studio in Wyckoff NJ. Marta has been passionate about pilates and fitness for many years. Marta is an IM=X® Advanced Certified Pilates instructor and personal trainer. She is AFAA Group Exercise Certified for Mat I, Mat II, Cardio, Kick boxing, Strength and Yoga. Marta began her career at Rocco's Gym in Hawthorne NJ. Marta also worked for Bally Total Fitness for five years during which time she starred in their commercials. Marta has been a personal trainer for The Gym in Englewood and has extensive experience helping people of all levels improve their fitness and wellness. Marta became hooked on IM=X® Pilates after her first session -- its unique blend of stabilization, strength and pilates exercises will challenge and transform your body.

Catherine Elizabeth DeMaria, IM=X® Pilates Certified Advanced Instructor


Catherine teaches both IM=X® Pilates Xercizer (reformer) and mat. She recently completed her advanced training in IM=X. Nine years ago, she was attracted to the benefits of IM=X® Pilates after battling extreme health complications following the birth of her two children. With the help of IM=X, she has lost almost 100 pounds, has increased energy and a stronger, more flexible and lithe musculoskeletal system. Her passion grew to the extent of the need to help others achieve their personal health and wellness goals. Ms. DeMaria holds a B.A. in Communications and a Certificate in Music from Douglass College/Rutgers University and is a current AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor. She holds additional specialized certifications in Zumba, Silver Sneakers, and Spin. During her college studies, Ms. DeMaria passed a course at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in the Alexander Technique and also studied classical ballet for almost 10 years at Helena Baroon School of Ballet in Bergen County, NJ. She also sang professionally in jazz, and rock/pop clubs in Manhattan/New Jersey and acted in regional and off-broadway productions.

Dee (Dianne) Kuiken

Dee (Diane) Kuiken has always been interested in science, health and physical wellness. She is currently training at IM=X Pilates in Wyckoff certified in Basic and Advanced training . She was introduced to IM=X Pilates through a friend and loved the workout from the very first day. Prior to her graduating Boston College in 1989, she was a Nutritionist/Consultant at Nutrisystem where she assisted others in weight loss and exercise programs. In addition, her work at Brighton Medical Laboratory provided her with the knowledge and background necessary to develop a more complete understanding of the body. She graduated Boston College with a BS in Biology and Secondary Education. Since then she has been a Middle School Life Science Teacher full time at George Washington Middle School in Ridgewood, NJ for over 22 years. She earned Her Masters Degree in Biology in 1994 and her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership in 2007. Her experiences with fitness lead to her training and successfully finishing both the New York City and Chicago Marathons.


Cheryl Scarpelli


Cheryl Scarpelli is a certified Spin Instructor. She obtained her spin certification through Spin  Fitness.  Cheryl has been an avid spin cyclist since 2006.  She has completed many levels of advanced endurance certificationsand is on the cutting edge of the latest advances in Spin techniques.  Her passion is to help each student reach cardio and endurance goals, while also improving general health and wellness.  Her hope is that each student will take a spiritual and physical journey with her through each class and leave energized and feeling wonderful about themselves.   "Live For Today, and benefit for each tomorrow".  "Music and movement is the key to opening the door to a new you"
